Nawab Shah Alam Khan College of Engineering and Technology (NSAKCET) IEEE STUDENT BRANCH has organized its 8-hour Annual Hackathon titled “Hack Envision 2.0” on 21st January 2024 in collaboration with NSAKCET CSE – Department. Advance Communication and Electronic Systems (ACES) was the platinum sponsor for this event and its Technical staff also served on the panel of judges.

The day witnessed hectic programming and hardware design activity as more than 180+ participants (53 teams and 15 solos) from different colleges of Telangana joined the event. During the hackathon, the students utilized the ACES-HUB App, a student information exchange platform, which allowed them to showcase their projects’ innovation, creativity, social impact and feasibility. The Android and iOS versions of ACES Hub were available for the students to register and students were able to post the project development phases on the blog feature of ACES-HUB.

The panel of judges included reputed personnel from industry and academia. Dr. Mohammed Sanaullah Qaseem (Counsellor- IEEE SB, CSE Professor NSAK), Ms. Farheen (CS Advisor IEEE SB), Mr. Mohammed Mohsin (Founder of SnapSeva) Ilyas Shah Khan (Incubation manager at EdVenture park) and Mr. Rafi Uddin, Manager ACES India evaluated the projects. Mr. Rafi Uddin commented that ACES was committed to supporting such platforms where the students can hone their creative skills and he appreciated the technical acumen of the students.

The event concluded with the distribution of cash awards of Rs. 1,40,000/- to the winning teams in the valedictory session which was attended by the ACES India Team. The First Prize went to The Elite Team, while Byte Masters Team secured the Second Prize, and the Third Prize, was claimed by Team AR Plan Craft. Noteworthy achievements included the Best Women’s Team, Hack Hers Team, and the Best Juniors Team, Code Runners Team, who received commendations. The award for Innovative idea went to Hex Tech team and Leaner Team of NSAKCET. These results highlight the diverse skills and accomplishments of the participating teams in this competitive event.
